A Timaru company, cutting for South Canterbury
Direct Concrete is a concrete cutting, core drilling and line pumping company based in Timaru. It is owned by Matt Reweti, a qualified carpenter who built the business.
We work for builders, concreters, civil contractors and homeowners, and our work has gone into factories, schools and civil work across South Canterbury. At a house it is speed and quality; on a commercial site it is compliance first, then quality, then speed.
Since 2021
Direct Concrete has been operating since 2021.
In that time the work has run from house slabs and driveways through workshop floors and factory drainage, and we have cut and drilled on some of South Canterbury's largest builds. The legal entity is Direct Concrete & Hire Limited, trading as Direct Concrete.

Unexpected concrete stops a whole site. Tell us where you are and what you have hit, and we will tell you when we can be there.

We do the small jobs
No job too big or too small. One hole or one cut gets the same standard as a factory floor.

We cut electric indoors
High frequency electric saws, high powered and fume free, so working inside a building adds no petrol fumes.

We control the dust
Dust extracted at the blade, or cut wet with the slurry vacuumed and taken away.

We have never competed on price and we are not about to start.

What we have been cutting
Slot drain network extension on a live factory floor
Cutting, removing and rebuilding a slot drain network while the factory kept running, tying into live drains with time limits.
Doorway cut out of an interior concrete wall
Vertical and horizontal pre cuts with a hand saw, then larger saws to finish, with a lot of the day spent prepping the area and cleaning up.
Attic window cut through 400 mm heritage stone
A new attic window and lintel slot cut through 400 mm thick heritage stone, with the interior protected from water and debris throughout.
