Concrete cutting in Twizel

Twizel is two and a half hours from Timaru, and we go. The drive is not the obstacle people assume it is.

What we have done in Twizel

Every line below is a job we posted about at the time. If it is not on this list, we have not claimed it.

  • Ten weeks of concrete cutting on Twizel's new school.

  • Work across the Mackenzie as part of our normal service area, which we have described publicly as Canterbury, North Otago and the Mackenzie since 2024.

  • Driven out at short notice for crews who arrived on site without a saw, which is how most of our long distance work has started.

Before you call

Working in Twizel

Do you really travel to Twizel?

Yes. It is about two and a half hours from Timaru and we have spent ten weeks on a single job up there. If the work is worth the drive we will drive it, and we would rather tell you that than pretend we are around the corner.

Is there a minimum job for somewhere that far out?

There is no minimum job size, but there is a minimum sensible trip. For Twizel and the Mackenzie the answer is usually to bundle everything you need cut, cored or drilled into one visit, and we will price the trip rather than each cut.

What do you bring with you?

Everything the job needs, plus the spares. Two and a half hours from Timaru is too far to go back for a blade, so a Mackenzie trip goes out loaded with the floor saw, the road saw, the core rig, dust extraction and water.

Where we work

The rest of the run

We also work across Canterbury, North Otago and the Mackenzie. If the job is worth the drive, we will drive it.
