Get an estimate
Tell us what you have got and Matt texts you an estimate today. No site visit for most small jobs.
- Cutting, coring and small pump jobs around houses, sheds and driveways.
- Electric saws, water and dust pulled at the blade, mess cleaned up.
- Timaru, Temuka, Geraldine, Ashburton, Twizel and everything between.
Commercial or civil job? Ring 027 966 9505 instead. Those get priced off the drawings and a look at the site, not off a form.
Sent. Matt will text your estimate today.
If it needs a look, he will say so.
Text your photos to that number and they land with your job.
How the estimate works
- You tell us the job. Job type, roughly how much of it there is, where you are and when you want it done. A rough number is enough.
- Matt works it out. Same day, off what you have sent plus any photos you text through. He has cut enough of these to price most of them from the description.
- You get it by text. A figure and what it covers. If the job needs eyes on it first, he says so and comes and looks rather than guessing at you.
What affects the price
So the estimate is not a surprise, here is what moves it. None of it is hidden and none of it appears later as an extra you did not agree to.
- Depth
- A path is not a foundation. The deeper the cut, the slower the pass and the harder the blade works, so depth matters more than length does.
- Access
- Whether we can get the gear to the work. Through a garage and down a set of steps is a different job to straight off the truck, and it is worth telling us up front.
- Reinforcing
- Steel in the slab slows a cut down and wears a blade out. It is normal and we plan for it, but a heavily reinforced slab is not the same job as a plain one.
- After hours
- Nights, weekends and anything that has to happen outside working hours. We do plenty of it, and it carries a premium because it should.
What people ask us first
Is my job too small?
No. Small jobs are most of what this business was built on, and the rule has not changed: do the small ones and the big ones come. A single doorway or four core holes is a normal booking, not a favour.
How soon will I hear back?
Usually the same day. Matt reads these himself between jobs, so if he is under a saw the reply comes at the end of that cut rather than the moment you press send.
Do I need to be home when you cut?
Usually not, as long as we can get to the work and you have marked what you want. For anything where the exact line matters, or where we need water or power off you, it is easier if someone is there for the first five minutes.
Can I send photos?
Yes, and it helps. Text them to 027 966 9505 once you have sent the form and they land with your job. A photo of the slab, the access and where the cut goes usually answers more than a paragraph does.
Would rather just talk to someone?
Ring the number and describe it. Matt answers his own phone, and if he is mid cut he will text you back.
